Terms of Sale

The short, plain version of the agreement between you and First Circle when you order a Family Book. Questions before you order? Ask us — we answer within one business day.

What you are buying

A personalised board book, made to order for one child, from the photos and names you provide. Because every book is made for one family, it cannot be resold — which is why proof approval and the cancellation window below matter, and why both are explained before you pay.

How ordering works

• You build the book: choose the edition and who is in it.
• You pay. The total you see at checkout is the total you pay.
• You add each person's photo and details in the workshop.
• We lay out the book and send you a proof — the actual pages.
• You approve the proof, or ask us to change a page. Nothing prints without your approval.
• We print, check the book by hand, and deliver it.

Printing and the cancellation window

We start work on your book as soon as you order. Printing itself is released at the later of two moments: your proof approval, or three days after payment. Until printing is released, you may cancel for a full refund. The full detail — including defects, reprints, and what happens after printing begins — is in our returns, reprints & cancellations policy, which forms part of these terms.

Prices

Prices are as shown at checkout, including delivery charges shown before payment. There are no hidden fees, and the price of an order never grows after you have paid — we never charge interest, late fees, or penalties of any kind.

Gift orders

You can order a book as a gift. You pay; the baby's parents receive the order's private link and add the photos and details themselves. As the buyer, you hold the cancellation rights described in the returns policy; defects are put right free for whoever holds the book.

Your photos and names

By placing an order you confirm that you have permission from each person in the book — or from a parent or guardian, for a child — for their photo and name to be used in it. Your photos remain yours: you keep full ownership of them, and we use them only to fulfil your order, as described in our privacy policy.

The book's designs, layouts, templates, and the First Circle name and mark belong to First Circle. Buying a book gives you the book — gladly and completely — not the templates behind it.

Defects and problems

If your book arrives damaged, defective, or different from the proof you approved, we will reprint it free or refund you in full — your choice. See the returns, reprints & cancellations policy for the full promise.

The small print, kept small

These terms are governed by the laws of Florida, USA. If any part of them is ever found unenforceable, the rest still stands. We may update these terms for future orders; the terms you ordered under are the terms that govern your order.
